Quickly... Anita!


Hey there folks! There are many strange things afoot at the Circle K, lately. Including working long seasonal hours, planning Kidlet's 2nd birthday party and dealing with sinus infections that threaten to split my head open with a meat cleaver. Made, apparently, out of mucus. You're welcome for that image, I made it myself.

So, I just wanted to say, "Hi! Still here and stuff!" and post a link I found recently. I never really collected comic books when I was a kid, or as a young adult. Well, now, as a middle adult, I may have to start.

They're making an Anita Blake comic book!

If you click on the above link, there's a few drawings there from the comic. The second one, of Anita leaning down into an open grave, a gun in both hands, pretty much looks exactly like the Anita that's been in my head for the last several years. Well, not so much with the low-cut tank top -- Anita pretty much wears only polo shirts or t-shirts, unless she has to dress up for something or other. But the hair and the face? And the guns and the scars? Definitely yeah.

So, in a word, coolness.
