MeMe Gigante!
The following gigantic meme is all courtesy of Golf Widow, so if you enjoy it, wanna steal it for your very own, feel like checking out her answers, go on wit' your bad self. She's worth a look-see.
***
What Would You Rather Be Called ...
01. ... Babe or Baby? Doesn't matter.
02. ... Sweetie or Honey? Doesn't matter.
03. ... Darling or Hun? Um, does the writer of this thing know that 'Hun/Hon' is diminutive for 'Honey'? Which was already covered above? Bah, anyhow. Again, doesn't matter. I don't mind any of the above terms of endearment, either using them or having them used on me. In fact, I think it's kind of quirky and fun when people use them. My role at work of Big Sister is great for this, and I call my coworkers things like "Buttercup", "Cupcake", and "Peaches". All in goofy fun, of course, and they seem to get a kick out of it.
Currently:
01. Is your hair wet? No.
02. Is your phone right by you? The house phone is about 5 feet away, right across from me, up on the wall. My cell phone is in my purse, which is in a chair on the other side of the room. So, to answer the question, I guess I'll say no.
03. Do you miss someone? Of course. I have friends and family in many states, some of whom I haven't seen in years. Thank heavens for e-mail.
04. Are you wearing Chapstick? No. I'm not really a fan of lipstuff, unless I have chapped lips or a cold sore. I do have this fun pineapple-scented stuff I got from Stone Girl, who is all with the living in Hawai'i right now, but I don't wear it often. I just don't remember.
05. Are you tired? I work all day, I have a toddler, who happens to be in the middle of a "Sleep? We don't need no steenking SLEEP!" phase. So, am I tired? Does a bear crap in the woods?
06. Are you excited? Since the heading here is "Currently", I have to say no. It's 10 at night, I'm in my sweats, it's been a long day/week/month/life. "Excited" is not really on my radar.
07. Are you watching tv? The TV is on, because Mom's watching the soap operas she recorded this afternoon. But, I'd have to turn my head 90 degrees to the right to see the TV, if I even had the interest to do so. Which I don't. So, the answer is no.
08. Are you wearing pajamas? I might end up sleeping in these, though they're not officially pajamas. But they're comfy and warm, and why dirty more clothes?
Have you:
01. Recently done anything you regret?
I regret starting this huge thing so late at night, when I'm already running on fumes. If my answers get weird, spacy or rude, you'll know why.
02. Ever lied? What the Hell kind of question is that? I don't care who you are, everyone lies about something. It's human nature.
03. Ever stuck gum under a desk? No. Because I always hated it when I discovered my own desk had been defiled by some lazy cretin who can't figure out how to wrap their chewed gum in a paper product of some sort and drop it in the trash.
04. Ever tripped over your own feet? Yep. I have the coordination of a blind, tranq-ed, rhinocerous, at times.
Today, and Explain Why:
01. Have you sworn? Hell yes! Oh, that was *too* easy. Also, I was talking with coworkers today about random dumbassery in our personal lives. Dumbassery in its various and fruitful forms brings out my more colorful vocabulary.
02. Have you yelled at someone? No. Believe it or not. I came close, with one person, but decided that it wasn't worth it. And I was right.
03. Have you gotten mad at someone? There's a constant level of anger that runs in the background of many of my days. Sometimes it flares. It didn't really flare much today.
04. Have you cried? Almost, a couple of times, but no.
05. Have you called more than three people? No. And I can't remember the last time I called more than one person in a day. I am not a phone person. People get mad at me when I say this, or offended. But it's still true.
Q and A:
Q: Is there a person who is on your mind right now?
A: There's always several, at any given time.
Q: Where is the last place you went?
A: Work. Ooh, how earth-shattering!
Q: Who do you like more, your mom or dad?
A: I like them both equally.
Q: Do you have any siblings?
A: 1 baby brother, who looks like he's about 5 years older than me. I find this amusing.
Q: Do you want children?
A: Yep, and it's a good thing, too, because I think I accidentally threw Kidlet's receipt away and I won't be able to return her. Darn it, I guess I'll have to keep her.
Q: Do you smile often?
A: I do, because it keeps people from asking questions that are none of their business or from saying stupid things like, "It takes more muscles to frown than to smile you know!", after which I'd be duty-bound to beat them to death with a rake made out of rusty forks and hornets. But the fact that I can smile more often than not means nothing more than I can move muscles in my face. It doesn't mean I'm a happy person.
Q: Do you think that someone is thinking about you right now?
A: Maybe. I suppose it's possible.
Q: Do you wish on stars?
A: Yep.
Q: Do you untie your shoes every time you take them off?
A: Depends on what kind of shoes they are. Right now I'm wearing slippers. No ties. To work, I wore my leather clogs. Again, no ties.
Q: When did you last cry?
A: A couple of days ago. That's usually the longest I go between crying. It's like a pressure release system for me, crying. I take so much stress, or I get so frustrated or so worked up about stuff, and I cry it off. A soggy way to go about it, I suppose, but I recall reading some articles a while back that said that people who cried regularly and released their stress that way were healthier and lived longer than people who didn't cry regularly. If this is true, I'll probably live until I'm 219.
Q: Do you like your handwriting?
A: I do, actually.
Q: Are you a friendly person?
A: Ha! HaHaHa. To quote Golf Widow's answer for this question... "Fuck off."
Q: Whose bed did you sleep in last night?
A: Well, that would be... mine? Is this a trick question?
Q: What color shirt[s] are you wearing?
A: It's kind of a burnt orange 3/4 sleeve t-shirt top, with a v-neck and cool embroidery around the top. A birthday gift from Gracie.
Q: Do you have any pets?
A: One cranky orange tabby cat.
Q: What is the color of your bed sheets?
A: Cream, with blue and red flower clusters on them.
Q: What were you doing at 3 pm yesterday?
A: Working.
Q: I can't wait until ...
A: ... I publish something I'm proud to have written.
Q: Look to your right. What's there?
A: The TV, across the room. Various other toddler-related accoutrements.
Q: Ever cried yourself to sleep?
A: Yep.
Q: Ever cried on your friend's shoulder?
A: Sure. As the song says, "That's what friends are for", right?
Q: Song that makes you cry or really emotional?
A: There's a bunch of these, but the first one that comes to mind is "Whiskey Lullaby" by Brad Paisley and Allison Krauss.
Q: Are you normally a happy person?
A: Not even close. I am an incredible actress, though, and if I don't want you to know I'm upset, you won't. It may take an enormous amount of my energy, since I'm normally not good at hiding my feelings, but I can do it. I have done it.
Q: Has anyone ever said "I love you" to you besides family?
A: Yep. My friends are a decidedly affectionate and expressive bunch, overall.
Q: If yes, do you think they meant it?
A: Yes.
Q: What are you doing right now?
A: Um. *looks around for the hidden camera* Writing this? Giant thing? Here? What the...?
16 Sections of My Life
SECTION 1 - YOU
+ Full name: Saturn Cat. Or, Ms. Jackson, if you're nasty.
+ Birthday: Yes, please. When I stop having birthdays, there's a problem.
+ Eyes: Steel-blue.
+ Hair color: A festive amalgam of dark blonde, golden blonde, silver and, believe it or not, a smidge of bronze. I wouldn't have guessed it, myself, until my stylist showed me. I guess I am the first, second and third places, all rolled up into one.
+ Siblings: The same brother I had however many questions ago that was. Plus all my spirit-brothers and sisters. They know who they are.
+ Tattoos: None. Not ever. No thanks. Thank you, drive through.
SECTION 2 - HAVE YOU EVER ...
+ ... Fallen off the bed? Yes.
+ ... Broken someone else's heart? Not that I know of.
+ ... Had your heart broken? Many, many, many times. See the part above about not hiding feelings real well. It's definitely a double-edged sword.
+ ... Had a dream come true? Yes. I've had these premonition/deja vu dreams since I was a kid. It's never anything mind-blowing or life-altering, just odd and kind of creepy, almost.
SECTION 3 - CURRENTLY ...
+ ... Wearing: black velour sweat/lounging pants, gray and purple kitty socks, purple slippers, orange shirt. Shuddup, I'm at home, at night, near bedtime. I don't have to match nothin'.
+ ... Listening to: the TV. I'll tell you one thing, listening to Mom's soaps with one ear is 48 tons better than listening to the banshees on "American Idol", with any part of any ear.
+ ... Located: Living room.
+ ... Chatting with: Mom, and CLB on IMs.
+ ... Should REALLY be: Sleeping.
SECTION 4 - DO YOU ...
+ ... Drive? Yeah. I don't like it, but I do it, because walking or riding to work when it's raining is a nasty way to start off a day.
+ ... Have a cell phone? I do, for emergencies, mostly. If the car breaks down or if daycare needs to get a hold of me about Kidlet.
SECTION 5 - LAST PERSON YOU ...
+ ... Hugged: Kidlet.
+ ... IMed: CLB
+ ... Talked to: Mom. She's sitting right here.
+ ... Texted: SJ.
SECTION 6 - PERSONAL (Because the rest of this thing has been *completely professional*. WTF? -- ed.)
+ What do you usually think about before you go to bed? Oh, damn, it'd be shorter to list what I don't think about. If I'm not running through my day, or thinking about what I need to get done tomorrow, I'm writing stories in my head and playing them out.
SECTION 7 - FAVORITE
+ Color: Purples and blues.
SECTION 8 - DO YOU ...
+ ... Like to give hugs? I do, and I'm told I'm good at it. Of course, the other person has to be okay with it, too, and not freak out on me. I know some people who don't like hugs, which is fine, but I'd rather you say something instead of wait until things get all funky and awkward. You know?
+ ... Prefer black or blue? Depends. Clothing wise, probably blue. I have very specific guidelines about personal color combinations, and blue fits in better with my style.
+ ... Sleep on your side? Almost always, yes. Usually my left.
+ ... Have stuffed animals? Sure.
SECTION 9 - THIS OR THAT
+ Pierced nose or tongue: Neither. I don't really find piercings attractive, and I absolutely, positively will never get one of my own.
+ MTV or BET: Neither. I don't watch TV that much. Back in the day, MTV, back when there was, like, videos. Of course, we're talking 20+ years ago now.
+ 7th Heaven or Dawson's Creek: I've never seen a whole episode of either.
+ Color or black/white: Color, for TV, movies and most photographs.
+ Sun or Moon: Both. I'm a heavenly-body kind of person, what with the name Saturn and all. Probably because I don't have one of my own.
+ Five acquaintances or one best friend: Friend. Though, I've been blessed with many BFFs.
+ Spring or Fall: Both, but I lean towards Fall.
+ Happy or sad: ...this is a strange choice. I'm going to quietly walk away from this one.
+ Wonder or amazement: Both. We need both, I think, to get through this stupid world.
SECTION 10 - YOUR FIRSTS
+ Screen Name: Saturn, believe it or not. I've used others since I first started that one, but I always come back to it.
SECTION 11 - LAST ...
+ ... Time you cried: Couple of days ago.
+ ... Phone call: I don't remember. I use the phone as little as possible. Maybe... Monday?
SECTION 12 - CURRENT
+ Mood: Tired, to the core.
+ Hair: I don't like it. I got it cut on Saturday, too. Just a trim, but it looked a lot sleeker and shinier, and less chaotic before than it does now.
SECTION 13 - WHO LAST
+ Made you cry? I'm not answering this on the grounds that it'll make me cry, remembering, and thereby nullify my answer.
+ Made you angry? A coworker.
SECTION 14 - WOULD YOU RATHER ...
+ ... Drink whole or skim milk? 1%, actually. Skim is just too thin for me, yet whole milk leaves a gross film on my lips and tongue.
SECTION 15 - DO YOU PREFER ...
+ ... Gray or Black? Black.
+ ... Lust or love? Depends on what you want. Lust is simple. Love is richer.
+ ... Sunrise or sunset? Sunset. Mornings are for the birds.
+ ... M&Ms or Skittles? M&Ms, because you can't have a classy gathering without them, and that's the truth. Though, orange Skittles, which are the only ones I'll eat, are mighty tasty. But chocolate trumps most things.
SECTION 16 - ANSWER TRUTHFULLY
+ Are you currently in love? Yes.
+ Do you believe in love at first sight? No.
